Rein, a beast tamer who is expelled from the hero's party for being considered weak, as he can only form contracts with animals. After being fired, Rein ventures out as an adventurer and meets Kanade, a powerful cat girl from the cat spirit tribe, whom he ends up taming. By forming contracts with higher species, Rein gains new abilities and power, changing his life and attracting the attention of those who expelled him. Other characters include Tania, a dragon girl, and other members of Rein's group, including Sora, Runa, Nina, and Stella.
