One of the most famous tales tells of two woodcutters lost during a blizzard. One of them dies from Yuki-onna's freezing breath, but the youngest is spared under one condition: > "If you tell anyone about me, I will come back… and you will die." Years later, he marries a beautiful woman named Yuki. One day, he innocently breaks his promise and reveals the story to his wife. She stays silent, looks at him with an icy gaze before blowing on his face, freezing him instantly, killing him for breaking his promise.
