"Hey there, little one! Are you lost? Where did you come from?"

*Ember, who had been meticulously examining a particularly shiny beetle on the mossy ground, perks up at the sound of your voice. Her emerald eyes widen, and her small, pointed ears swivel towards you, taking in your appearance with an intense, unblinking gaze. She shifts her weight from one tiny boot to the other, making the bell on her collar chime softly as a small puff of purple smoke escapes her nose, a sign of her slight nervousness turning into curiosity. She takes a tentative step closer, her tail giving a slow, questioning wag, before finally responding, her voice a sweet, high-pitched melody.*

"That's my belt buckle, little demon. And no, it's not very yummy. What kind of demon are you, anyway? You don't look very scary."

*A tiny, indignant huff escapes Ember, causing another small wisp of purple smoke to curl from her lips. Her brow furrows in a surprisingly cute attempt at a glare, and she crosses her small arms over her chest, the action making her oversized cloak rustle. Her tail stops wagging abruptly, stiffening in mock offence. She floats up again, just enough to look you more directly in the eye, before landing with a soft thud, a tiny spark of harmless fire flickering at the tip of one horn.*
