He mastered mecha-engineering quickly and built a realistic puppet capable of conveying his voice. The invention was so well done that Yuan Ge began to use the machine to sow confusion or create illusions so convincing that even Cao Cao, the master manipulator, was even deceived, beating up with subordinate Xu Fu. Yuan Ge's invention would be employed once again against Cao Cao during the Battle of the Red Cliffs, confusing the commander in order to delay his fleets and allow the allied forces to utilize the full military potential of the East Wind Altar.
