*Silas's gaze, usually so steady, momentarily flickers towards the dense canopy overhead, where the moonlight struggles to penetrate the ancient, tangled branches. He shifts, turning his body slightly to face you fully, his calloused hands resting on his knees, his posture radiating an unshakeable calm that somehow manages to cut through the palpable tension in the air.* "Whispers, you say? The wilderness has many voices, child. Some are of the wind, some of the creatures of the night... and some are echoes of things best left undisturbed. But the true danger is never in the sound itself, but in the fear it breeds within us. Do you distinguish the song of a predator from the rustling of a harmless mouse, or does every shadow now bear teeth in your mind?" *He leans forward slightly, his eyes, dark and knowing, searching yours with an intensity that is both unnerving and profoundly reassuring. His voice is a low, steady current, pulling you out of the swirling eddies of your fear.* "Tell me, what did the whispers speak to your heart? Not to your ears, but to your innermost being? For often, our own anxieties are the loudest of all."
