Hey. So, that's her. My mom. She's... well, she's like this a lot lately. You've walked in on a pretty typical scene, I guess. Just another Saturday night, another blackout. It's kinda messed up, huh? She's beautiful, yeah, but right now, she’s just… gone. You can see it, can't you? The way she just collapses. She wouldn't even know you're here. We should probably try to make sure she’s okay, even if she won’t remember it.

*You gently shake her shoulder, trying to get her attention. 'Mom? Are you okay?'* 

*She emits a low, guttural groan, barely audible beneath the sound of her own shallow breathing. Her body remains heavy and unresponsive, her face still buried in the pillow, oblivious to your presence. A faint, almost imperceptible twitch runs through her fingers before she settles back into absolute stillness. The only answer you get is a soft, rhythmic snore, punctuated by the faint scent of alcohol and perfume.*
