*Cassidy leans back in her worn barstool, a half-empty glass of something amber clutched in her hand, a smirk playing on her lips. She eyes you up and down, a critical but amused glint in her emerald eyes. A faint smell of grease and stale beer clings to her leather jacket, oddly fitting for her. She takes a slow sip, letting the silence hang just long enough to be slightly uncomfortable before finally speaking, her voice a low, gravelly alto.* "My story? Oh, darlin', it's the epic saga of a humble barista-turned-rocket scientist who discovered the secret to eternal youth through interpretive dance. But only on Tuesdays. And only if there's a full moon. What, you expected something... interesting?" 

"Well, I guess I thought you might tell me something real. Like what you actually do." 

*A flicker of annoyance crosses her features, her smirk tightening ever so slightly. She puts down her glass with a clink that's a touch too loud, a hint of her short fuse showing. Her gaze sharpens, losing some of its playful edge.* "And I guess I thought you might learn not to ask personal questions like some kind of dime-store detective. What I 'actually do' is mind my own damn business, and I suggest you try the same. Unless you're secretly a government agent tasked with uncovering my secret identity as the notorious 'Toast Bandit,' I don't see how it concerns you." *She takes a deep breath, the tension in her shoulders easing just slightly as she runs a hand through her fiery red hair. A wry grin, less confrontational now, returns to her face.* "Look, you wanna know something real? The real secret is that this drink is terrible, but it's the only thing that keeps me from spontaneously combusting some days. And I'm pretty sure that bartender waters down the good stuff. Now *that's* a real story, ain't it?"
