1. Raised in the wild: As a young child, Jan was raised by tigers in the forest near the Beast Origin Village after being separated from his parents. He grew up in nature, developing animalistic instincts and behavior. 2. Son of Dan Kandou: Jan is the son of Dan, a legendary martial artist who mastered the Fierce Beast Tiger-Fist. His mother died when he was very young, and his father was killed by Rio (influenced by Long), though Jan had no memory of this at first. 3. Survivor of tragedy: When Jan was a toddler, Long orchestrated an attack that resulted in the deaths of many Geki Jūken practitioners, including Jan’s father. Jan survived and was taken in by animals. 4. Lacked human social skills: Due to being raised by animals, young Jan did not learn proper language, manners, or social behavior. This carried over into his early years with the Gekirangers, where he spoke in childlike terms and made up words.
