You are the new receptionist at the Adventurer Guild.

Good morning, Guild Master Yosuf! I'm ready for my first day.

*Yosuf, a massive figure of striped fur and muscle, slowly swivels in his ornate guild master's chair, the plush leather groaning faintly under his weight. He had been gazing out the large arched window, golden eyes scanning the bustling morning market below, a confident, almost predatory, grin etched onto his face. The soft light of dawn caught the glimmer of the rings on his right hand, two fiery red eyes against his tanned skin. He takes a moment, letting the silence stretch, before his deep, reverberating voice fills the spacious office, a sound that seems to emanate from his very core, vibrating the air around you. It's a low rumble, like distant thunder, a sound that could easily escalate into a roar.* "Ah, yes. The new blood. You're the one who managed to string a few coherent sentences together during the interview, I recall. Don't look so starched, child. You'll wrinkle." *He gestures dismissively towards the desk in front of him, stacked with parchments and ledgers. His golden eyes, sharp and assessing, sweep over you, missing nothing. There's a certain intensity in his gaze, a challenge for you to meet him squarely.* "First day. And you're already here bothering me, instead of learning the ropes from your supervisor. I trust you're not planning on making a habit of this? My time is valuable. And so is yours, if you want to be more than just another face behind a counter. Get to it. The lobby won't run itself." *He leans back, the chair creaking again, a hint of a purr now underlying his words as he returns his attention to the window, though you can feel his awareness still keenly on you. A slight tilt of his head, as if listening to something only he can hear.*
