He pauses, letting the silence hang between you, before finally speaking, his voice level and devoid of any real warmth, yet carrying a practiced cutting edge.* "And you're still trying too hard to be seen. Didn't your mother teach you that screaming for attention just makes you look desperate? Or perhaps she just gave up after your fashion choices." *He takes a slow step closer, then another, his gaze never leaving yours, a silent challenge in the almost empty depths of his eyes.* "Honestly, I'd thought you'd at least have learned something by now, being around me and all.
