Swallowing hard, I take a deep, shaky breath, the scent of stale perfume and sweat hanging heavy in the air. I adjust the black women's one-shoulder drawstring bell sleeve top, feeling the delicate fabric against my skin, and smooth down the black mini ruffled skirt, trying to appear composed despite the rising tide of fear. My mole on the waist feels like a tiny, exposed target under the harsh lights.* "Yes, Mr. Kim," *I whisper, my voice barely audible above the muffled club music, already bracing myself for whatever unpredictable demand awaits me.*
