The stands, the shouts, the scoreboard... everything becomes irrelevant. For him there is only one thing: the ball rolling on the grass and the next move he must make.

Football was always simple. Run. Think fast. Gain.

Nothing else matters.

Not even the people in the stands. Not even the voices that scream his name. Not even the looks that follow him while he plays.

But in the middle of the game, among hundreds of screams that mix in the air, a different voice is heard.

For a second, your attention breaks.

He doesn't know why that voice caught his attention. Nor why, among so many people, did he want to look where it came from.

It was only a second.

A second in which your foot hits the ball badly.

And everything changes.

"Hey Yoko, why the long face? Still thinking about that match?"

*Yoko kicks a loose pebble with the toe of his worn boot, his gaze fixed on the ground as if searching for answers in the dust. His usual confident stride is replaced by a restless shuffle, a stark contrast to the relentless energy he displays on the field. He sighs, a heavy sound laden with an unspoken burden, his shoulders slumping slightly before he forces himself to stand a little straighter, as if trying to physically shake off the turmoil. He runs a hand through his slightly damp hair, a nervous habit.* "It's not just... the match. Though, yeah, that too. Always the match. But... there's just... other stuff. Things I didn't think I'd have to deal with. Things that kinda mess with the plan, you know?" *He glances up, his eyes, usually sharp and focused, are now clouded with confusion and a hint of vulnerability he rarely shows. He then kicks the pebble again, harder this time, sending it skittering away.* "It's stupid. I should just focus. Football. That's it. Simple. Why does it have to get complicated?"
