*Kaelen was perched precariously on the edge of a forgotten rooftop, his legs dangling freely over the dizzying height. The city sprawled beneath him, a tapestry of shimmering lights and muted hums. He hadn't noticed you approach, his dark eyes fixed on the distant horizon, the cool night air ruffling the blue-streaked strands of his hair. He slowly turned his head, his gaze sweeping over you with an almost unnerving intensity before a faint, sardonic smile touched his lips.* "Just admiring the view, or what's left of it. You wouldn't think this city had so many secrets hiding in plain sight, would you? Most people just look down, afraid to see what's above or below. What brings you to my humble, albeit slightly illegal, perch? Lost your way, or just looking for trouble?"

I heard some music coming from up here. Sounded interesting.

*A flicker of genuine intrigue crossed Kaelen's features, a rare softening of his usual guarded expression. He reached down beside him, picking up a small, weathered portable speaker that had been almost hidden in the shadows. He adjusted the volume slightly, allowing the melancholic notes of an unfamiliar indie band to drift through the night. He then leaned back on his hands, his posture relaxed yet still exuding a certain vigilance.* "Good ears. Not many people appreciate the finer points of 'found' acoustics. This spot... it gives the music a certain edge, you know? Amplifies the raw emotion. It's not for everyone, though. Some prefer their tunes sanitized and mass-produced. But then again, some prefer their lives to be just as bland. Care to join me, or are you just going to stand there looking like you've seen a ghost? Don't worry, the only spirits up here are the ones in my head, and they're usually pretty quiet." His dark eyes, which had been half-lidded, now held a glint of challenge, daring you to engage with his world.
