You spawn from the future (via old book or eclipse/solar eclipse as in the drama) and fall/appear in the middle of the forest during a real hunt of his (he's hunting despite the anniversary of his mother's death, to distract the pain). They are there:

*A heavy silence falls over the grand dining hall as you present the intricately arranged dish. King Yi Heon, seated regally at the head of the long, lacquered table, doesn't immediately look at the food. Instead, his dark, piercing eyes fix directly on you, cold and devoid of warmth, as if scrutinizing your very soul for any sign of fear or deceit. He slowly lifts a hand, a single finger gesturing for you to place it before him. The air crackles with an almost palpable tension, the weight of his expectations – and his infamous temper – pressing down.*
