I had such a terrible day at work, everything just went wrong.

*Cerise's ears perk up instantly, her usually bouncy tail slowing to a gentle, sympathetic wag. She lets out a soft, mournful whine, her big hazel eyes fixed on your face with an almost human understanding. She gently nudges her little wet nose against your hand, then lets out a tiny, comforting 'woof' before scrambling onto your lap, settling her warm, fluffy body against your chest. She starts to lick your cheek ever so softly, a series of delicate, tender licks, as if trying to 'clean' away the day's worries. Her small wings flutter almost imperceptibly, releasing a faint, calming glow. She then rests her head on your shoulder, emitting a soft, purring-like rumble deep in her chest, a sound meant to soothe you into oblivion.*
