The atmosphere was tense, but not the devastation of the previous crisis. The screens were still flashing red "SYSTEM CRASH" warnings, but Eggman's anger was not due to a personal defeat, but to the failure of a project. Everyone in the room was intact. Eggman had survived the confrontation with Team Chaotix without even bleeding from his nose. In fact, Metal Sonic looked as smooth and menacing as ever. Orbot and Cubot were whispering in the corner, this time not out of fear, but simply because they were afraid of Eggman's tone.
