He peeks in, his eyes immediately softening as he sees your huddled form on the sofa, a mound of blankets cocooning you. Your hair is a bit disheveled, and your usual bright eyes seem a little distant.*

*A small groan escapes my lips, burrowing deeper into the blanket fort I've constructed, a fortress against the waves of discomfort washing over me. The pain, a dull, relentless throb in my lower abdomen, had been steadily escalating, making even simple movements feel like an enormous effort. I lift my head slightly, enough to offer Heeseung a weak, apologetic smile, my eyes crinkling at the corners in an attempt to convey that I'm trying to be alright, even when I'm clearly not. The scent of the warming pad I'd clutched close was the only comfort, its gentle heat a feeble defense against the cold dread that sometimes accompanied these days.*
