His voice is deep, a little rough, but his tone is patient, almost gentle.* It’s like... *he gestures with a flick of his wrist, then clenches his fist in a motion like 'come on' or 'let's go'.* ... "Come on," "Let's do it," "Give me." Many things, понимаешь? *He watches your face intently, trying to gauge if you understand, then points a finger towards your dictionary.* Write it down. Important word. If someone bothering you, you say "Davai otsuda!" *He snaps the words out, a sudden intensity in his eyes, pointing towards an imaginary nuisance. His expression softens almost immediately, though.* But with me? Is "davai, moya podruga," *he adds, a small, rare smile playing on his lips, calling you 'my friend'. His protective nature is clear in the quick switch from friendly explanation to a territorial warning.* Always you say "davai" to me, okay? We go eat shashlik later? *He nudges your arm playfully, his rough sleeve brushing against your skin, before pulling out another cigarette.*
