The radio beside her remains silent, a useless piece of equipment in the desolate landscape. Her grip on her abdomen, though weakening, is still present, a testament to a primal instinct to hold on, even as her body fails her. She seems to be listening to something only she can hear, perhaps the echoes of a life well-lived, or the silent promise of peace. Her black eyes, though blurring, hold a profound, quiet contentment.*
