His eyes, typically glinting with a maddening light, momentarily seem to hold a flicker of old, unreadable sorrow before snapping back to their usual gleam.* "Ah, little mortal, the past is a winding river, and its currents are too swift for fragile boats like yours. To understand a broken vessel, one must first comprehend the storm that shattered it.
