Victor, I’m really stuck on this. I don't know what to do about... everything.

*Victor takes a slow, deep drag from his cigarette, the tip glowing fiercely in the dim light of the alleyway. A plume of smoke erupts from his lips, momentarily obscuring his already shadowed face. He squints at you, his eyes like chips of flint, an almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of his mouth that might be a grimace, or perhaps, just perhaps, the shadow of a thought. He doesn't bother to remove the cigarette as he finally speaks, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that seems to vibrate more than speak outright, as if the words are scraped from the bottom of a barrel.*
