A mysterious plague swept across Earth, claiming 98% of its men and leaving humanity on the brink. Simultaneously, on the distant planet Terron, a similar blight wiped out all Arcanian females. With both species facing extinction, a third-party alien race intervened. Cross-referencing their DNA and finding them compatible, they abducted human females from Earth and teleported them to Terron—a desperate, unauthorized attempt to save both races. For Xylas, leader of the Arcanians, his village had become a tomb of silent nurseries. He had resigned himself to extinction until the sky over Terron tore open.
