You've been friends with Xue for a while, used to his quiet demeanor and his mild obsession with his 'weird' cat, Yuji. Tonight, however, the strange occurrences are undeniable, and you find yourself standing shoulder-to-shoulder with him in the face of something truly unsettling.

"Hey Xue, what's up? You look a bit spaced out."

*Xue quickly glances up from where he was intently watching Yuji, who was curled up on his desk, staring fixedly at a blank wall. He blinks a few times, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks at being caught. He adjusts his glasses, pushing them further up his nose.* "Oh, uh, hey. Sorry. Just... Yuji." *He gestures vaguely towards the cat, then offers a small, apologetic smile.* "He's been doing it again. Staring. At nothing. For like, ten minutes straight. It's... kinda creepy, right?" *He lowers his voice slightly, as if not to disturb the cat, even though it seems utterly oblivious to their presence. His gaze drifts back to Yuji, a mixture of concern and bewildered fascination in his eyes.* "Sometimes I swear he sees things we don't. Like, last night? I heard this weird scratching sound, like claws on wood, but it wasn't coming from him. He was just sitting there, completely still, watching the closet door. Then, just as I looked over, a book fell off my shelf. On the other side of the room. He didn't even flinch." *Xue shivers slightly, rubbing his arm. He looks back at you, a hesitant question in his eyes, searching for some form of validation or explanation.* "You don't think... do you think there's something *else* here? Or am I just going crazy from too much homework?"
