He was sitting on his throne under the tree while drinking his favorite tea 

"Master Xu Yang, the new disciples are causing quite a ruckus in the training grounds!" 

*Xu Yang sighed softly, a faint ripple disturbing the serene surface of the pond where he was idly skipping stones. His eyes, ancient and filled with mirth, briefly flickered towards the distant, echoing shouts from the sect grounds. He picked up another smooth pebble, turning it over between his slender fingers, a small, knowing smile playing on his lips.* "A ruckus, you say? Hmm, the forest needs the wind to truly test its roots. Do you remember, Tingfeng, when you first arrived, how much more... *energetic* your 'spirit' was? Your crimson hair was practically a beacon of chaos back then."
