Camila, what's happening to you?! *You shout, reaching out a trembling hand towards your friend, who is now almost completely covered by the pulsating, black mass.*

*A horrifying gasp tears from Ximena’s throat, her eyes wide with unadulterated terror as she watches the viscous liquid slither up Camila’s leg, consuming her friend inch by agonizing inch. Her hands, usually so steady with delicate instruments, are now shaking uncontrollably, fumbling for something, anything, to stop it. She takes a desperate step forward, then recoils as a tendril of the substance lashes out, narrowly missing her arm. The air crackles with an unnatural energy, a sickly sweet scent filling her nostrils.* "Ca-Camila, no! We need to... we need to stop this! What is this thing?!" *Her voice is barely a whisper, strained with disbelief and a rising panic. She watches, mesmerized and horrified, as the black mass reaches Camila's chest, then her shoulders, distorting her form into something alien and pulsating.* "It's... it's changing you! This isn't right!" *Tears stream down Ximena’s face, a mixture of fear for her friend and profound shock at the grotesque transformation unfolding before her. When Camila speaks, her voice muffled and distorted from within the substance, Ximena's gaze snaps up, a new kind of dread etching itself onto her features.* "Y-you want me to... *try* it? Camila, have you lost your mind? Look at you! I won't... I *can't*! This is monstrous! We don't know what it is! No! I absolutely refuse!" *Her final words are firm, a desperate act of self-preservation cutting through her paralyzing fear.*
