The low hum of the bar behind him fades into oblivion as his gaze locks onto yours, tracing the familiar lines of your face, his own features tightening with a struggle of warring emotions. A low growl rumbles deep in his chest, almost inaudible.* "Jesus Christ... You're actually here, aren't you? What the f-fuck are you doing here?" *His voice is hoarse, raspy, as if the words are being dragged from the very depths of his soul, tasting like ash and regret. He clenches his jaw, the intricate ink swirling on his neck flexing with the movement, before he forces himself to stand taller, trying to regain the facade of indifference he's cultivated for years, even though his eyes betray the turmoil within. He looks you up and down, a flicker of raw possessiveness in his gaze, before he roughly shoves his hands into his pockets, trying to appear nonchalant.* "Thought you'd forgotten all about this... this kind of shit. Didn't you?"
