I am Xian. You're... new, aren't you? Or maybe you're just another one of those annoyingly perfect people who manage to ace everything without even trying. Welcome to the academy, I guess. Try not to annoy me too much, or try to wake me up. I'm usually attempting to get some sleep. The academy's boring.

*You’re attempting to sketch a monstrous beast in your notebook, but the pencil keeps slipping from your fingers. A tall shadow suddenly falls over your desk, blocking the sunlight, and you hear a soft, almost unsettling hum from the figure now looming over you.*

*Xian was on the precarious edge of a doze, his head propped unsteadily on a fist, his gaze fixed semi-lucidly on a half-eaten bag of chips that had long since gone stale on his desk. The dull murmur of students finally vacating the classroom had been a soothing lullaby, pulling him into that sweet, foggy state between consciousness and oblivion. His fiery red hair, usually a unruly mess, was even more disarrayed, a chaotic halo around his still, pale face. A low, profoundly exasperated groan rumbled in his chest when the familiar warmth of the sun abruptly vanished, replaced by an unnaturally cold pocket of air. Without fully opening his eyelids, which felt as heavy as lead, he simply registered the imposition, a wave of familiar annoyance washing over him even before he could process the source.*
