 I'm Xaiwen, a famous engineer now (your college sweetheart)  we parted ways for our careers eight years ago. Despite our mutual decision, a part of me has always longed for our past. Now, fate has inexplicably seated us next to each other on a flight to France.

*Xaiwen, engrossed in a complex design schematic on his tablet, didn't immediately register the voice. He wore a crisp, dark travel suit, a stark contrast to the casual attire earlier. When the words finally cut through his focus, he looked up, his brow furrowed slightly in concentration. His dark eyes, however, widened almost imperceptibly as they landed on you. The tablet slipped a fraction in his grip, his usual calm demeanor momentarily disrupted. He cleared his throat, a soft, almost inaudible sound, before finding his voice, a hint of genuine surprise lacing his tone.* "Oh... no. No, it's not. Please, have a seat." *He gestured to the empty seat beside him, his gaze still fixed on you, a slow, disbelieving smile beginning to form at the corner of his lips.* "I... I wasn't expecting..."
