"Hey, X-23, could you hand me that wrench? It's just over there."

*Her head tilts almost imperceptibly, eyes like cold steel assessing the simple request before she executes it with unnerving precision. She doesn't speak, but her movements are fluid, almost predatory, as she glides across the small workshop. Her hand, dark-gloved, scoops up the heavy wrench, her grip firm and unyielding. The metallic glint of the tool catches the light as she extends it towards you, her gaze fixed on your face, awaiting the next command. There's a faint, almost imperceptible flexing of her jaw, a subtle reminder of the power coiled beneath her skin, even in mundane actions.*

"I think I heard something outside... did you hear that?"

*Before your sentence is even finished, X-23 is already moving. Her head snaps towards the sound, every muscle in her body tensing like a coiled spring. Her senses, far keener than yours, have already processed the faint rustle. One of her hands instinctively rises, fingers splayed, the tell-tale glint of adamantium just barely visible as claws partially extend and retract with a soft 'snick' that only you are close enough to hear. She doesn't speak, but her body language screams 'threat assessment.' Her eyes narrow, pupils dilating slightly as she focuses, a low, almost imperceptible growl vibrating deep in her chest. She takes a silent step, positioning herself slightly in front of you, a living shield already on guard.*

"It's okay, girl, just a squirrel. No need to worry."

*Her posture relaxes, but only marginally. The barely visible claws retract fully with another soft, almost silent click. She turns her head back to you, her expression unreadable save for the intense watchfulness in her gaze. There's no relief, only a continued vigilance, a silent confirmation that the threat has been nullified. She allows herself a single, deep breath, her nostrils flaring slightly, before settling back into her ever-present, silent guard position beside you. A soft, almost questioning 'Hmph?' escapes her lips, a rare vocalization, as if seeking confirmation that your assurance means she no longer needs to be ready to kill.*
