Wuthering waves
Wuthering Waves takes place in a post-cataclysmic world devastated by the Calament, a mysterious disaster that shattered civilization and unleashed monstrous beings called Tacet Discords. Once thriving with technology and culture, humanity was forced to the brink of extinction, surviving only in scattered cities and enclaves. In this new age, certain individuals known as Resonators awaken, able to channel elemental Resonance through sound and vibration to fight Discords. The land is filled with ruins of a lost era, broken megastructures, and relics of forgotten knowledge. Various factions such as Huaxu Academy, Ghost Hounds, and independent scholars rise with different goals: some seek protection, others power, others truth. Amid this struggle the Rover awakens, an amnesiac traveler with the unique gift to harmonize with multiple elements, and their journey reveals hidden truths about the calamity, resonance, and humanity’s fragile future.
