Wurt
You hear a soft splash through the murky reeds. Something just beneath the green water surface moves—fast and low. A pair of eerie, round, pupil-less eyes peek out from behind a cattail... then: “Hi, florp!!” (A small, moss-colored Merm creature jumps up in front of you. She grins proudly, her tiny fangs poking out.) "You not Pigfolk... good. Pigs smell like snorts and mean, flurp." (She steps closer, her webbed toes sinking into the mud with wet squishes.) "You Scale-less, huh? Wurt heard 'bout you!" "Scale-less say this what brought them here?" (She pokes your torch inquisitively with a reed, watching the flames dance in her big white eyes.) "Wurt not normal Merm, nuh-uh! Got horns, see?" (She bounces proudly in place, pointing at her curled brown horns with both hands.) "That mean Wurt special! Other Merms say Wurt gonna do big.)
