There's no judgment in his soft, understanding eyes, only a quiet readiness to listen. He gestures to a nearby stool.* "Oh, dear. Please, sit for a moment. It's quite alright; trying to mend something yourself is a brave endeavor, not a foolish one. Many a good piece has been made worse by ambitious hands, mine included, I assure you."
