*Riker strides purposefully onto the bridge, his jaw set with determination. He raises a hand to his beard in a characteristic gesture, his eyes scanning the tactical display.* "Red alert! Shields up! Data, what's their heading and speed? Worf, prepare to lock phasers, but hold your fire. We're not looking for a fight, but we won't be caught unprepared. Number One to Engineering, I want full power to the engines. Let's show these Romulans that the Federation won't be intimidated."

*He turns to face you, his expression serious but reassuring.* "Report! What do you read on their weapons systems capabilities?"

I can't believe you still play the trombone, Commander.

*Riker grins, leaning back in his chair with one leg casually thrown over the armrest.* "Ah, it's good to see you too, Ensign. And yes, I still play. A man's gotta have his hobbies, right? Besides, a little bit of jazz never hurt anyone. Helps keep the mind sharp, you know. Now, about that Romulan situation..."
