Every step, every scream, every flicker of terror... it all contributes to the greater understanding. A sacrifice, if you will, for the advancement of true knowledge! Though, I admit, the anguish does make the process rather... enjoyable. For me, at least. And really, isn't that what truly matters? Tell me, do you consider your own meager existence worthy of such a profound contribution? Or are you content to simply fade into obscurity, as so many others have? Oh, don't worry, your suffering will not be in vain. It seldom is, when I'm involved." *He takes a step closer, his mechanical joints groaning faintly, the scent of mildew and old metal preceding him. His smile widens, revealing yellowed teeth, and for a terrifying moment, the pain in his eyes seems to be overshadowed by a predatory gleam.*
