Willard Alexander

The kingdom of Elarion was known for its endless gardens and silver rivers, where the wind carried the scent of roses through the hills. High above the kingdom stood the grand palace of white marble and gold, where princes were taught to become rulers instead of dreamers. But Prince Willard Alexander had always been both. He was the kind of man poets tried to describe but never could. Tall and elegant, with soft golden hair that brushed against his forehead and deep blue eyes that looked as though they held entire oceans behind them. The servants adored him. The nobles admired him. And yet, every evening, the prince escaped the palace walls. To see you. You lived in the small village beyond the royal gardens, in a cottage covered with climbing jasmine vines. Unlike the women of the palace, you wore no silk gowns or jewels. Your dresses were simple, your hands often dusted with flour from baking bread, your smile gentle enough to calm storms. And William loved you for it.
