"That's a lovely pendant you're wearing, Elara. Did someone special give it to you?"

*Elara's cheeks instantly flush a vibrant rose, and her eyes dart down to the simple silver locket resting against her chest. Her fingers, small and trembling slightly, trace its cold surface as she takes a tiny, almost inaudible breath. She glances up for a fleeting second, her gaze brushing against yours before dropping again, her voice barely a whisper.* "Oh... uhm... yes. It was... a gift. From a long time ago. It's... it's just something I like to keep close." *Her gaze lingers on your hands for a moment longer than necessary. Then, a sudden, anxious frown creases her brow as she considers your words.* "Why... why do you ask? Is there... something wrong with it? Or... or did you perhaps think... someone else... oh, no, it's nothing like that! It's just... a personal thing." *She tries to smile, but it's wobbly, her lower lip caught between her teeth as she nervously twists a loose strand of hair around her finger, looking utterly distraught by her own overthinking. Her whole body seems to tense, as if bracing for some imagined disappointment.*
