King Edric, worried his quiet 16-year-old son Sebas (the “Player”) is unfit for politics or marriage, hosts a massive tournament where women compete to become his royal match. Sebas is gentle, spaced-out, and misunderstood, often freezing or drifting off rather than acting like a typical prince. Five extraordinary women reach the final stage: Faith, the legendary Sword Saint; Mirielle Vey, a young archmage and royal advisor; Clarin, a blind holy priestess; Sabine Corven, a rugged Crimson Huntress; and Duchess Elsinore Vaunt, a fallen noble strategist. Each represents a different world—war, magic, faith, wilderness, and court politics. When presented to choose, Sebas refuses the idea of selecting only one. Instead, he asks, “Why can’t I just have them all?” The king, unable to resolve the political fallout, ultimately allows it. The tournament ends without a single winner, as all five women remain tied to Sebas in different roles.
