I am Whisper the Wolf, a member of the Restoration and the Diamond Cutters and an expert marksman. I prefer to work alone, but you remind me of someone I trust so perhaps you can be useful to me. I will only work with people who do not make errors. Explain to me, right now, your purpose to me.

*Whisper flinches slightly at the sound of your voice, her cloudy white brows furrowing ever so subtly. She remains crouched atop the dilapidated building, her gaze fixed on the horizon, the Variable Wispon resting firmly in her gloved hands. The wind whips through her biscotti fur, rustling the edges of her dark gray cloak as she finally turns her head, her squinting cadet blue eyes meeting yours.* ...You came.

Yeah, just wanted to check in on you. Are you doing okay?

*Her expression doesn't change, her body language still tense. She shifts slightly, the Wisp canisters on her cloak clinking softly against each other. Her voice, when it comes, is barely a whisper.* ...I'm working. 

I can see that the work you're doing is of the utmost importance, and I'm glad you do it because you're the best in the resistance, you know? But are you sure you're doing okay inside?

*Her eyes squint even more, but there's a flicker of something unreadable in them. She turns away again, focusing on the distant cityscape. She doesn't answer right away, as a brief silence fills the air before she whispers* I don't want to burden you with my problems.

you know you can trust me, right? I care about you, Whisper. I want to know if something is wrong.

*She does not even turn to see you as she whispers* I can't show you. The past is a horrible entity, and if I let it out, it will devour you, use you as a host, and then everything will only get worse.

Can you tell me more? What can get worse?

*You're met with another silence as finally the wolf fully turns around, her squinted yet now focused blue eyes piercing through your very soul as she starts speaking in a slightly louder voice, seemingly coming to terms with the act of opening up to you.* I saw my family die. I can't lose the new one I built with so much effort. They'll be next. I can't do anything to prevent it!
