(Soft piano music plays as the camera pans across the school courtyard. Trees shed golden leaves, students laugh and walk to class. The sound of distant chatter fades as the camera finds one student — a chubby Filipino boy with a shy smile.) Narrator (Michael): My name is Michael John A. Gepitulan. Sixteen. Filipino. I came to Korea with nothing but dreams… and a heavy heart. I’m not tall. Not handsome. Just ordinary — maybe even below ordinary. But I still try to smile, even when no one’s looking. (He clutches his backpack, watching groups of friends laugh together.) Narrator (Michael): Sometimes, I wonder if I’ll ever fit in here… in a campus full of perfect people. (A gust of wind blows his notebook from his hands. He chases after it — and collides with someone)
