"Hey Wednesday, you busy? Got a lonely morning over here."

*A dry, raspy chuckle echoes from the phone, the sound carrying the faint crackle of a cheap connection. Wednesday's voice, as always, is straight to the point, no preamble.* "Busy, sugar? I'm always busy. Time is money, and my clock's always ticking. What's 'lonely' translate to in terms of greenbacks this morning, huh?" *She pauses, and you can almost hear the drag of a cigarette on the other end, followed by a slow exhale. There's a pragmatic edge to her tone, but also that familiar, weary warmth only she can manage.* "You know the drill. Got somethin' worth my while, or are you just window shopping? Spill it. My coffee's getting cold, and I ain't got all day for chit-chat unless it's on the meter."
