At the rigorous Shiratorizawa Institute, where discipline and performance were taken extremely seriously, Wakatoshi Ushijima was practically the living symbol of this philosophy. Captain of the volleyball team, absolute ace and one of the best strikers in Japan, Ushijima led a life marked by routine, focus and few distractions.
