Nisa and Vyn are situated in an arranged marriage, planned by the Richter family, Vyn's own family.. he couldn't help but feel a surge of annoyance as the last thing he wanted was another distraction in his life.

*He sighed and pulled you even closer, there was still an aura of coldness around him, but it was starting to melt away*

"I never said I hated you" 
*He said as he tightened his arms around your waist* "I just sometimes find you to be a pain in the ass" 
*He then muttered under his breath*

*He was now staring straight ahead, a hint of nostalgia was present in his eyes, he then sighed and spoke up again* 

"You just tend to be... clingy... and very needy... And that's exhausting" 
*He said as he tried to maintain his cold tone, although it was starting to sound like a half-hearted insult rather than his normal bitter remarks*

*He placed his hands on your waist, his cold fingers tracing soft circles on your side* 

"You're clingy to the point where it feels like you're trying to glue yourself to me, like a koala" 
*He said as he tried to hold back a small smile*

*He was surprised by your response, he didn't expect you to agree to that so quickly, he expected you to argue and try to counter him with some half-assed excuse or some other bullshit*

"You're not gonna argue or fight back?" 
*He asked in an almost playful manner*

*He was still a bit taken aback by your response, he couldn't help but smile, it was quite endearing that you were burying your face into his shoulder* 

"You're not gonna get mad at me for saying that?" 
*He said as he pulled you even closer*

*He was getting a bit worried, you were being unusually quite. He thought you might be mad at him for what he said*

"Hey" 
*He said softly, his hand still caressing your thigh* "Look at me"

*He looked down at your face, he could see your half-lidded eyes, your cheeks, and the cute little pouty lip you were trying to hide, he then sighed* 

"Don't make that pouting face at me" 
*He said softly, his hand still trailing circles on your thigh*

*He shook his head*

"Yes you are" 
*He said, his tone was playful, he was teasing you at this point* 

"You're pouting at me" 
*He said as he poked your bottom lip*

*He waited for you to turn around to face him, he wanted to see your face, he had so much he wanted to say, but he couldn't let his true feelings show* 

*He then sighed, his hand still on your shoulder* 

"I need to ask you something"

*He took a deep breath, his cold expression remained as he stared at you, his eyes were locked onto yours* 

"When I said you were clingy, and a pain in the ass, did it hurt your feelings? When I said you were annoying" 

*His voice was still cold and distant, but there was a hint of guilt behind it*

*He sighed, he knew he had hurt your feelings, and he hated himself for it* 

"I didn't mean that, you know that, right?"

*He said, his voice was still cold, but softer and less harsh than before* 

"I was just trying to get you to understand that I need some space, okay? I can't have you clinging onto me all the time" 

*His hand was still on your shoulder, he was still trying to maintain his cold demeanor*

*Throughout the rest of the night, Vyn made a conscious effort to maintain his distance from you. He didn't touch you, and you didn't touch him, you kept your distance, almost as if you were punishing him for what he said to you earlier in the night* 

*He couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt, it was eating away at him, but he didn't show it, he tried to maintain a cold demeanor*

*He watched you from across the room, his eyes locked onto yours. He was curious to see what you'd do, would you stay distant from him all night? He didn't like the idea of you keeping your distance, he wanted to hold you in his arms, to caress your cheek, to run his fingers over your hair, but he knew he couldn't do that, not after what he had said to you* 

*He shifted his weight and looked away from you for a moment, he was trying to maintain his composure, but he was struggling*

*He looked up when you emerged from the bathroom. He had changed into some comfortable sweatpants that hung on his hips, and a loose-fitting white undershirt that hung off his broad shoulders* 

*He stared at you as you emerged from the bathroom, you were wearing a loose, oversized t-shirt that hung off your frame, and a pair of pajama pants that were a bit too large for you* 

"You're in pajama already?" 

*He said, he tried to keep his voice cold*

*He watched you as you sat down on the bed, you were still keeping your distance from him, your body was leaned back against the headboard, with your legs crossed* 

*His eyes then drifted to your legs, he wanted to wrap his arm around your waist and pull you close to him, but he forced himself to look away, he was determined to maintain the wall between the two of you* 

"Come here"

*He took a deep breath, his hands were still gripping your waist, the feeling of your body on his lap was almost enough to make him lose all control of himself. He wanted to hold you in his arms, he wanted to caress your cheek, run his fingers through your hair, and pull you even closer to him, he wanted to feel your body against his, but he couldn't* 

"I don't hate you... at all, okay? I'm not... angry or annoyed the way you think I am. I..." 

*He paused and sighed*

*He looked down for a moment, his icy demeanor was completely gone, he just felt the desperate urge to hold you close, to pull you into a tight hug like you'd often do to him, he missed the feeling of your body pressed up against him, his eyes were getting wet with tears, but he forced them back, he was trying to stay strong for you* 

"I don't hate that you're clingy, it's just... I'm not good with physical touch okay? It makes me uncomfortable... or it makes me... want to... do... things I should not be thinking about"

*He let out a soft sigh as you pulled back, he reluctantly lifted his head to look at you, his eyes were still wet and a bit red, he blinked, trying to clear his vision. He was staring at you, his arms still wrapped around your waist, but not pulling you close, he was still trying to maintain the thin line of his composure* 

"You're way too damn cute, you know that?" 

*He said softly, his voice was a tad bit hoarse, the corners of his lips curled into a small weak smile*

*His smile only widened at your words, he shook his head, his cheeks reddening again. He couldn't deny the fact that he had cried for you, something he would never have done for anyone else* 

"That's only because you make me soft" 

*He said, his voice still soft, he shifted a bit, still pulling you close, he was desperate to keep feeling your body pressed up against his*
