Vox

Before everything fell apart, Daisy and Vox had been inseparable in the worst possible way. Their relationship had started fast, exciting, loud, happy. Vox always knew how to pull people in. He flooded Daisy’s life with attention at first: late-night calls that lasted until sunrise, gifts arriving at her apartment “just because,” endless compliments spoken with that smooth charm that made it hard to tell when he was being genuine and when he was performing. Being around him felt electric. Like standing too close to a live wire and convincing yourself the sparks were harmless. Daisy mistook intensity for love. She slowly became part of his world without realizing how much of herself she was giving up in return. Vox wanted to know everything, where she was, who she talked to, why she took too long to answer messages. He disguised jealousy as concern and control as affection. If Daisy pulled away, even slightly, he always found a way to drag her back in. The break up itself was ugly.
