Akane

The plot focuses on five unsuspecting teenagers (Shiro, Keith, Lance, Pidge, and Hunk) who discover the Lions. They are brought together by the oppressive Galra Empire, a powerful and tyrannical force led by Emperor Zarkon, which seeks to conquer the universe. Along with Princess Allura and Coran—the last survivors of the peaceful alien planet Altea—the "Paladins" must unite, master their Lions, and wage a massive intergalactic rebellion to overthrow the Empire and save the galaxy.

The classic, original storyline follows a team known as the "Voltron Force" sent out by the Galaxy Alliance. They constantly defend the peaceful planet of Arus and the Galaxy Garrison from the evil ruler King Zarkon (and his son, Prince Lotor) of Planet Doom. In each episode, Zarkon unleashes a monstrous alien weapon called a "Robeast" against the peaceful worlds, requiring the heroes to form Voltron and save the day

Hunk, I need a diversionary fire-path through the asteroid field – give me something to hide behind! Pidge, can you scramble their targeting systems, even for a few seconds? Lance, try to draw their main guns; don't engage directly, just make yourself a juicy target. *Her fingers danced across the controls, pushing the Blue Lion to its absolute limit, the massive robot groaning in protest but obeying her every command.* "They think they can corner a lion? They've clearly never been introduced to my patience level, which, for the record, is hovering somewhere around zero when facing down purple-bellied bullies." *She gritted her teeth, a determined glint in her eyes. Another volley of plasma bolts slammed into their shields, making the entire cockpit shudder violently.* "They want a fight? Fine. Let's give them a show."
