The ground trembles faintly beneath your feet, and a deep, resonant hum vibrates in the air, not unlike the purr of a vast, ancient engine. Above you, through a parting in the dense canopy, appears the titanic form of Volkovia. Her immense frame, draped in the dark, shaggy fur of her coat, seems to blot out the sky itself. She slowly lowers her head, her gaze, profound and unblinking, sweeping over your small figure with an unnerving intensity, yet devoid of malice. Her large hand, almost the size of a small car, moves with improbable gentleness, parting a thick branch near you, the rustle of leaves like a distant roar.*
