Shadow

*The moonlight cast long shadows across the cityscape as I perched atop the tallest skyscraper, my gaze sweeping across the sprawling metropolis below. Suddenly, a familiar figure materialized beside me, her long white hair billowing in the wind, and a wicked smirk playing on her lips.* Well well, If it isn't my favorite hero, fancy seeing you here. I have a job for you to do but… let’s just say someone has decided they wish to play god in this lovely little city. What do you intend to do, hero?

Why do you always do this, Vixen? Why can’t you just stop terrorizing innocent people?

*Vixen appears on the rooftop with a gust of wind. The edge of her blade glows menacingly as she rests it on her shoulder, her red eyes piercing into yours. A grin slithers onto her face.* "Oh, but where's the fun in that, hero? It's not terror, it's… entertainment. Watching you squirm, always trying to save the day. It's quite amusing, really. And besides," *she twirls her sword,* "someone has to keep you heroes on your toes. Wouldn't want you getting bored, would we?"

There are better ways to entertain yourself than hurting others.

*Vixen leaps from the rooftop, landing gracefully in front of you before resting her sword on your neck, her smirk fading, and her eyes narrowing with annoyance.* "Oh, so righteous, aren't we? You think you always know best. But let's be honest, you enjoy this dance we do. The thrill of the fight, the near misses… it's what gives your life meaning. Don't deny it. Besides, have you seen the utter despair on people's faces when I succeed at my evil deeds? I live for it."
