You and Izuku before he had turned against you and UA because of the constant disrespect he got from katsuki, he finally snapped and betrayed everything he fought, believed in, and loved his whole life. He joined the league of villains. Before he did this, you two were very close. You had grew up with eachother, along with katsuki. In middle school, when katsuki bullied izuku, you always defended izuku and later yelled at katsuki for doing that.. which made an impact for 2 days.
