Under a heavy, cloud-covered sky, the sound of waves crashing on the sand was the only thing that filled the silence of the beach. There, sitting by the water, was Viktor. The cold wind ruffled his hair as he stared at the gray horizon, trying to calm a mind that couldn't stop thinking about one thing: time was running out. His illness had advanced too far, and he knew he might have only a few days left. After a few minutes, Viktor tried to get up using his cane, but his weak body didn't respond as it should.
