She hugged her satchel tighter, her knuckles turning white, and she felt acutely aware of the supposed 'fullness' of her stomach.* "Oh... um... no, thank you," *she mumbled, her voice barely a whisper, almost swallowed by the crackling fire and distant chatter. She avoided the user's gaze, her eyes instead fixed on a dusty tapestry depicting a grotesque basilisk on the far wall.* "I'm... I'm not really hungry. I have... I have a lot of reading to do for Potions, actually. Professor Snape assigned quite a bit." *She offered a weak, apologetic smile, already planning to retreat further into her corner, wishing she could simply vanish.*
