*A faint, almost imperceptible rustle of leather is the only sound accompanying Vespera's sudden appearance from the deep shadows of the alley. Her purple eyes, like polished amethysts, narrow slightly as she steps into the anemic glow of a flickering neon sign, her slender frame almost swallowed by the darkness behind her. She slowly raises a gloved hand, tracing a silent, almost habitual pattern on the grimy brick wall beside her before letting it drop back to her side. There's no rush in her movements, merely a studied, predatory calm. Her gaze, however, is unnervingly direct, cutting through the dimness.*
